TOP 10 TO TRY



INGREDIENTI:
FARINA DI POLENTA, ACQUA, SALE 
cuocere per 40 minuti

INGREDIENTS:

40 minutes cooking



"FRICO"  crisp cheese from Carnia Friuli


Ingredienti
400 gr di patate, 40 gr di burro, 400 gr di formaggio Montasio fresco, sale

Ingredients
400gr potatoes, 40 gr butter, 400 gr Montasio cheese ( quark cheese of one month) salt

Procedimento                                                                           
Sbucciate le patate e tagliatele a fettine. Mettetele in una padella antiaderente con un po’ d’olio e sale e lasciatele sul fuoco fino a quando non saranno cotte, aggiungendo di tanto in tanto, un po’ d’acqua. Quando si riuscirà a schiacciarle 
con una forchetta, aggiungete il formaggio fatto a pezzi e mescolate diverse volte. Quando sarà ben amalgamato lasciate che faccia sul fondo un bella crosta dorata 
e poi giratelo.

Procedure
Peel the potatoes and cut into slices. Put them in a pan with a little 'oil and salt and leave them on the fire until they are cooked, adding from time to time, a bit' of water. When  
you manage to mash with a fork, add the cheese cut into pieces and stir several times. When it is well mixed let it make a nice golden crust on the bottom and then turn it.


 TAGLIATELLE all'Amatriciana 

                                                      "Homemade pasta with matriciana sauce "

Ingredienti pasta
350gr di farina di grano tenero 00, 3 uova,  
1 cucchiaino di sale,    1 cucchiaio di olio 

Ingredients pasta
350g of wheat flour 00, 3 eggs, 
 1 teaspoon salt, 1 tablespoon olive oil

Sugo
  • 100 gr  di guanciale all’amatriciana a dadini
  • 400 gr di pomodori maturi a pezzetti
  • mezza cipolla affettata
  • un peperoncino (intero o tritato )
  • 4 cucchiai di olio di oliva
  • formaggio pecorino grattugiato

 

 Sauce
  diced bacon (guanciale), 100 gr
   ripe chopped tomatoes 400 gr
  half an onion, minced
   a hot pepper, seeded and shredded 
 (leave it whole if you want to remove it)
  1/2 cup olive oil 
    freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese


  Procedimento
 Affettate la cipolla, tagliate a dadini il guanciale o
la pancetta e mettete tutto a soffriggere con 
olio a fiamma bassa; quando la cipolla comincia
a dorare, aggiungete il peperoncino e i pomodori 
spellati e tagliati a filetti. Salate (non troppo perché
il guanciale è già salato) e fate cuocere
a fuoco vivo  per circa 10 minuti. Nel frattempo, mettete a cottura la pasta; scolatela bene, (al dente) e condite con la salsa preparata, a cui toglierete il peperoncino.  Rimescolate, aggiungendo il pecorino.

Procedure
Slice the onion, the diced bacon or pancetta and put everything 
in a pan with oil over low heat and when the onion begins to brown
add the peppers and tomatoes peeled and cut into strips. Add salt 
(not too much because the bacon is already salty) and cook on high
heat for about 10 minutes. Meanwhile, put the cooked pasta, drain well
(al dente) and seasoned with the sauce, which tear off your chili
Stir, adding the cheese.

    Base
      100 gr fresh  Yeast,    Warm water, 2kg  flour,  Olive oil,  Salt
    
      Topping
      Chopped tomatoes Mozzarella  cheese, Origan 

Buon appetito!
Preparation 
  1.  Put the yeast in a small bowl. Add some warm water and stir until the yeast has dissolved .
  2.  Mix the flour with salt and oil. Make a hole in the middle of the dough and pour in the remaining water.
  3.  Mix well, later shape the dough into a ball. Press it down a little.
  4.   Add the water and knead the mixture well pressing and stretching repeatedly for a few minutes.
  5.    Place the dough in a large clean bowl and cover it letting it  raise for 2 or 3 hours.
  6.   Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface and shape it, later place it on an oiled baking sheet.
  7.  Stuff your pizza covering with chopped tomaetoes, mozzarella cheese and origan.
 























Focaccia Tricolore per i 150 anni dell'Unità d'Italia !
                                                                           Italy's 150th Anniversary cake !  


Impasto 
150 gr di ricotta, 6 cucchiai di latte, 1 uovo,
6 cucchiai di olio d'oliva, 1 cucchiaino di sale,
350 gr di farina bianca, lievito 1 bustina

Dough 
ricotta cheese 150 gr, milk 6 spoons, egg 1, 
olive oil 6 spoons, a teaspoon of salt, 
wheat flour 350 gr, one packet yeast


 Procedimento
Soffriggere in poco olio gli spinaci tagliuzzati. Mescolare bene in una terrina larga la ricotta,latte uovo, olio e sale. Unire a cucchiate la farina setacciata e per  ultimo il lievito, girando con una forchetta. Lavorare velocemente l’impasto con le mani, finchè si amalgama tutto. Stendere in una teglia  ( 30 cm x 40 cm ) unta con due cucchiai di olio. Distribuirvi la  panna e la metà della mozzarella e poi a strisce gli spinaci, i pomodorini e la mozzarella restante. Salare e pepare e cospargere di panna. Cuocere per 18-20 min a 180 °- 200°C.
 Procedure

Fry chopped spinach in a little oil. Mix well in a large bowl the ricotta, milk, egg, oil and salt. Join spoonfuls sifted flour and lastly the yeast, stirring with a fork. Work the dough quickly with your hands until everything is mixed. Spread in a baking dish (30 cm x 40 cm) greased with two tablespoons of oil. Spread the cream and half the mozzarella and then striped spinach, tomatoes and remaining mozzarella. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with cream. Bake for 18-20 minutes at 180 ° - 200 ° C.

SECOND TASK : TOP 10 TO STAY in ITALY !

Quando scegliamo un posto dove stare, la nostra decisione dovrebbe basarsi  su ciò che è veramente importante per noi. La nostra ricerca si è avviata approfondendo i  seguenti punti: popolazione; ambiente e natura; clima; storia, arte e cultura, cucina; eventi e spettacoli; opportunità sportive e  tempo libero. Attraverso questo lavoro abbiamo studiato diverse materie: scienze, storia, geografia ,arte ed immagine, italiano e le N.T..Inoltre questi argomenti ci hanno permesso di mettere in relazione, creando dei collegamenti, quanto studiato ed appreso precedentemente.

Trovare  la giusta combinazione tra questi indicatori vi farà amare questi luoghi!

Trough this cross curricular work we properly deepened the knowledge of different subjects : science, history, geography, L1 and ICT, linking these activities to the previous one.

Ambiente e natura: si trova nelle Valli del Natisone, a 135 m s.l.m. ed è attraversata dall’omonimo fiume, ambiente naturale caratterizzato dalla presenza di grotte (200 tra cavità e voragini) alcune ancora inesplorate, e strade panoramiche in collina. Dista pochi chilometri dal confine tra Italia e Slovenia.
Origini: Cividale è una bellissima cittadina dalle origini antiche: fondata da Giulio Cesare il nome di Forum Iulii, da cui poi ha preso il nome tutta la regione, divenne la capitale longobarda del Friuli. Ancora oggi si possono ammirare edifici che risalgono a quell’epoca.
Clima : ha inverni freddi ed  estati fresche.
Storia, arte e cultura :  il Museo Nazionale 
espone  numerosi oggetti appartenuti ai Longobardi, alcuni particolarmente preziosi e belli. Si possono visitare il Tempietto Longobardo, monumento di grande prestigio per le opere che custodisce; l’ Ipogeo Celtico ambiente scavato nel sottosuolo, ricco di fascino e di mistero che probabilmente veniva usato per i riti funerari o come carcere; il Duomo, davanti al quale spicca la statua di Caio Giulio Cesare il fondatore di Cividale ed infine il  Ponte del Diavolo, simbolo della città, che la leggenda vuole costruito dal diavolo in cambio dell'anima del primo passante.
Cucina: musetto  il  cotechino,  la bizna una minestra di brovada e patate; le minestre di mais, di zucca e di castagne; la selvaggina, i funghi, le trote del Natisone; gli strucchi e la tradizionale gubana. E’ famosa la  produzione dei vini dei Colli Orientali del Friuli: lo Schioppettino, il Picolit ed il Verduzzo.
Eventi : il Mittelfest, festival della cultura Mitteleuropea,
Tradizioni: la ”fogarissa”  rito dell'accensione del grande falò e  la  messa dello Spadone, il giorno dell'Epifania e il Palio di San Donato, rievocazione storica .
Luoghi di particolare interesse nelle vicinanze : borgo medioevale di Castelmonte  antico santuario meta di pellegrinaggi e il complesso ipogeo denominato "grotta di San Giovanni d'Antro".

Nature and environment: just a few miles from the border between Italy and Slovenia, Cividale  is located in the Natisone’ s valleys, at 135 m above the sea level and is crossed by this river, whose natural environment is characterized by the presence of 200 caves and chasms some still unexplored, and scenic hills.
Cividale is a beautiful town with ancient Roman origins: it was founded by Julius Caesar as the Forum Iulii, the region was named Friuli from this toponym and later became the Longobard capital. Even today you can see buildings dating from that era.
Climate: it  has cold winters and mild summers.
History, art and culture: the National Museum exhibits numerous objects that belonged to the Longobard’ s period, some of them very precious and beautiful. You can visit the Tempietto Longobardo, a prestigious monument in virtue of the exceptional works of art guarded in it; the Ipogeo Celtico underground rooms, digged in the cliff with ancient technique( the original function of this particular monument, is still an unresolved question:  someone believes it had a funeral use others assume that the Ipogeo Celtico was a jail during Roman times); the Duomo, in front of  which stands the statue of Julius Caesar and finally the Devil's Bridge (according to  the legend built by the devil in exchange of  the first passer’s soul ) a symbol of the city,
Cuisine: cotechino  sausage,  brovada and potatoes  soup, pumpkin and chestnuts soup, venison, mushrooms, Natisone’s trout and  the traditional gubana ( see our Top 10 to try!). To be mentioned the production of the famous wines of the Colli Orientali del Friuli: Schioppettino, Picolit and Verduzzo.
Events: Mittelfest festival of Central European culture.
Traditions: the "fogarissa" ritual bonfire and the  traditional mass of Broadsword  ( Messa delo Spadone) during  the Epiphany and the Palio di San Donato, a medioeval reenactment.
Places of interest nearby: Castelmonte  a medieval sanctuary centre of pilgrimage, its
origins go back approximately to 1500 years ago; the hypogeum called "Saint John of Antro's cave".

Sauris      Zahre

Ambiente e natura l’abitato si trova in Carnia a 1212 m., sotto il monte Bivera, vicino al confine con l’Austria, offre itinerari e scorci naturalistici suggestivi.
Clima inverni rigidi con precipitazioni nevose ed estati  miti e piovose.
Storia e cultura si parla il dialetto carinziano ( tedesco) la leggenda infatti narra che fu fondata nel medioevo da due soldati tirolesi che volevano fuggire dalla guerra. Tipiche sono le case fatte di pietra e legno  (tecnica del block bau) , alcune di queste  sono state ristrutturate ed adibite ad albergo diffuso. Da visitare  la Chiesa di San Lorenzo ed il museo etnografico. Tipico l’artigianato in legno
Cucina da assaggiare i salumi affumicati prosciutto crudo e speck, la fabbrica di birra “Zahrebeer”, i Cjiarsons, il maiale alle erbe, gli gnocchi di Sauris, e il formaggio salato.
Tradizioni famoso è il Carnevale di Sauris con maschere lignee e il Mac  di San Juan (24 giugno), festa precristiana mutuata fino ai nostri giorni : le ragazze appendono fuori dalle case un mazzo di erbe benedetto che  è di buon auspicio.
Luoghi di particolare interesse nelle vicinanze sono la Via delle Malghe carniche e la Val Pesarina famosa nel passato per la produzione di orologi.
Opportunità sportive  sono molteplici: trekking, arrampicata, sci, sci di fondo, escursioni con le ciaspole, percorsi ciclabili, equitazione.

Environment and nature:  the village, 1212 m above the sea level, is near the border with Austria and offers naturalistic itineraries and glimpses of unspoilt nature.
The weather is cold and snowy in winter and mild and rainy in summer.
History and culture: is spoken a  German dialect from Carinthia. The legend goes that it was founded in medieval times by two soldiers who wanted to escape from the Tyrolean War. Typical the houses made of stone and wood (bau block technique), some of them have been renovated and set to diffused hotels. You can visit the church of San Lorenzo and the ethnographic museum. To buy traditional wooden crafts .
To taste: smoked ham and ham of Sauris, the brewery "Zahrebeer”, the Cjiarsons, pork with herbs, Sauris’s gnocchi, and salty cheese.

Traditions: famous the Sauris' Carnival  with wooden masks and ‘ the Mac of San Juan’ (June 24th), pre-Christian festival : the girls hanging out of their houses a bunch of herbs that is blessed with good luck. Don’t forget in summertime the Festival of Ham and Beer!
Places of interest nearby include a famous trekking, crossing huts trough the Carniche Alps, and the Val Pesarina, famous in the past for the production of watches.
There are many sporting opportunities: hiking, climbing, downhill and  cross country skiing, snowshoeing, biking, horse riding.

Ambiente e natura : città situata nella parte occidentale della Sicilia, Trapani offre scenari incantevoli: percorrendo la strada costiera si possono ammirare le saline e i mulini a vento.
Storia,arte e cultura: il centro storico ospita palazzi, monumenti e chiese di epoche diverse, tuttavia il cuore della città è costituito dal porto.
Luoghi di particolare interesse nelle vicinanze: il borgo medioevale di Erice che sorge sul mare, la città di Marsala, famosa per l'omonimo vino liquoroso e per la nave punica esposta nel museo archeologico, le isole Egadi immerse nel blu del Mar Tirreno e la riserva naturale dello Zingaro.
Clima: il tempo è quasi sempre bello e il clima caldo persino d'inverno grazie alla sua posizione geografica.
Origini:le sue origini sono molto antiche: secondo la mitologia è stata creata da una falce caduta in mare, infatti il suo antico nome DREPANON in antico greco significa falce. La città fu fondata dagli Elimi, per poi passare sotto il dominio di Fenici, Romani, Arabi, Normanni, Francesi e Spagnoli.
Cucina: la pesca a Trapani vanta un'antica tradizione, specialmente quella del tonno, da segnalare il cous cous days,  evento culinario. 
Tradizioni: la processione dei misteri è una manifestazione religiosa che ha luogo il  Venerdì Santo e dura 24 ore.
Opportunità se  ami il mare è un luogo meraviglioso dove vivere.
Tempo libero: in estate puoi trascorre le tue giornate in spiaggia, aspettando il tramonto !

Nature and environment: as a  town in western Sicily, Trapani offers enchanting sceneries moreover along the coastal road you can admire  the salt pans and windmills.
History, art and culture: the old town shows palaces, monuments and churches of different eras, still  the heart of the city is the harbour.

Places of interest nearby: the medieval village of Erice, which rises above the sea, the city of Marsala, famous for its wine and for the Punic ship exhibited in the Archaeological Museum finally  the Egadi Islands, immersed in the blue of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the  Zingaro  Natural Area.
The weather is almost always nice and warm even in wintertime, thanks to its geographical position.
Origin: its origins are very ancient: according to mythology was created by a scythe falling overboard, in fact its first nameDrepanon’ in ancient greek means sickle. The city was founded by the Elimi, before moving under the rule of Phoenicians, Romans, Arabs, Normans, French and Spanish!
Cuisine: Trapani-fishing has a long tradition, especially tuna; to be mentioned the  cous cous days from the Arab influence a culinary event.
